By His Hands 森郷キャンプ場創世記3

Missionary Ted Livingston settled in Rifu in 1959.  From the very beginning, Ted understood the importance of a Christian campsite and how it could serve not only the Christian churches but also the locals.  When the land became available, it was Ted who organised the funds upfront forpurchase. The cost for the land (1,800,000 yen, which is roughly 60 thousand US$ in today’s value) paid off gradually by the offerings from churches within Japan. The total area was approximately 17acres with a beautiful lake and a thick pine forest.  The land became theirs on 1960 April.

The land is there! Next up the building time….with the hands of SO many!
